about dr. charles j. tripoli
The Tripoli Foundation was established in memory of Charles J. Tripoli, MD (1930–2022) — physician, humanitarian, Navy medical officer, scholar, and lifelong advocate for those in need.
For more than 60 years, Dr. Tripoli served patients and families in Washington, Pennsylvania as a trusted family physician known for his compassion, humility, and generosity. He believed deeply in the dignity and worth of every person and dedicated his life to caring for others regardless of their background or financial circumstances.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Tripoli loved music, languages, education, Italian culture, and service to others. Late in life, he learned Spanish in order to participate in medical mission work in Honduras, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping underserved communities.
The Foundation continues his legacy by supporting students who aspire to make a positive impact through education, service, and compassion.
